Lecture Title: Frontiers in Astrophysics: Orbits, GPS & Black Holes

Brief Description: You probably will use your phone’s GPS to find where today’s lecture is being held. What is GPS and how does this relate to black holes? This is a glimpse into ASTR 160, a course for non-science majors that covers rocket science, exoplanets and black holes.  Professor Geha will discuss why these topics are related and focus on how the Global Positioning System (GPS) works.

No prior registration is required to attend, however, due to capacity limits seats are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
